Inspired by Vivaldi’s The Four
Seasons, from the age of twelve David knew that the violin was to be the
musical instrument he would like to master. In 1997 David joined the
Seaham Academy of Music and under the musical direction of Rupert Hanson
he gained much experience in developing his ‘self taught abilities’ by
having the opportunity of playing various styles of baroque, classical
and romantic music. His favourite composer is Mozart.
In 2001, David was invited by Rupert to become leader of The Sunderland
Symphony Orchestra, and was then appointed principal tutor of
violin for the, then, recently formed Sunderland Youth Orchestra.
David holds a degree in Pharmacy from Sunderland University.
