Christmas The Committee wish all members and friends a ‘Happy Christmas' and ‘A Prosperous New Year.’
Clarinet in A The Society has purchased a new Clarinet in A to make the life of the woodwind section of the orchestra a little easier.
Notice Board The new notice board is in position outside West Park Church.

Youth Musical Spectacular
Members of the Society will once again form the ‘Pit Orchestra’ for the Youth Musical Spectacular at the Empire Theatre on Saturday 25th January 2003 at 7.30pm.

Gilbert & Sullivan Evening
Friday February 28th 2003. 7.3Opm. West Park Church

Annual General Meeting
Advance notice is given of The Annual General Meeting, to be held in West Park Church Hall. Stockton Road, Sunderland on
Wednesday 5th March 2003 at 7.15pm. This meeting is open to all Paid-Up Members of the Society. There will be NO musical instruction or practice that night. This will be an important meeting since the Committee will propose a number of changes to the Constitution.

Symphony Orchestra
Saturday 5°’ April 2003. 7.3Opm. West Park Church.

Alison Bryce has had to postpone her appearance with the Symphony Orchestra due to ill health. Alison has to have twelve months without playing her instrument. We wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to having her play with us in the future.
This means that the previously published programme for the next concert will have to be changed.

Membership Fees
All members will shortly be receiving an invitation to renew their membership of the Society. Please do so promptly. Anyone receiving this newsletter who is not currently a member and would like to be a member please ask Heather Peel (Tel 0776 536 6658) for an application form.
