Concert at the
Empire Theatre, Sunderland
The Symphony Orchestra was engaged by The
Lazarus Foundation to perform on Sunday 15th September. The Foundation
underwrote the cost of the musicians expenses. Proceeds from the concert will be
used to offer local children the opportunity to attend the pantomime in the theatre at
Christmas. The Sunderland Echo gave good publicity to the event and Roy Horabin wrote a
suitable review. It was generally felt that this was the best performance by the orchestra
to date. The soloist and the choir were greatly appreciated.
Damage to
Notice Board

The CoSMOS notice board located on the wall
outside West Park Church was forced out of its frame and damaged beyond repair on the
night of 22nd August. The firm who made the sign, Signs Express,
have agreed to replace the sign with one of slightly modified construction at cost. We are
very grateful for their generosity.
Sponsorship

The Trust has donated £2000 to underwrite the
setting-up costs of the Symphony Orchestra.
